Ridgeway Nottingham Grandfather Clock

The stately Ridgeway Nottingham Grandfather Clock features pepper oak finish on genuine hardwoods with olive ash burl veneers that are book-matched on the front of the top crown. The elegant stepped shape of the bonnet features a molding that wraps around both sides of the clock, and a wonderfully carved shell overlay at the bonnet's center is the perfect finishing touch. An individually numbered edition dial features raised corner spandrels, cast center disk where the listed number for the edition is shown, applied numerals and a functioning moon dial with the inscription "Numbered Edition" on the moon arch. A large lyre pendulum with a 10 7/8-inch cast center disk complements the dial and the banded weight shells.

Exclusive to Ridgeway, a lower lamp offers a touch switch for dimming (located at the middle door hinge) to create a romantic mood from light inside the case. A separate lamp illuminates only the movement and dial. Large, reeded columns and richly carved column caps along with a full wrapping mid-collar add a majestic feel and separate the locking upper door from the locking lower door with shaped beveled glass. This also draws attention to the beveled glass side panels. A decorative embossed molding below the lower front door also accentuates the multi-tiered base with raised olive ash burl overlays.

The mechanical cable-driven movement rings a choice of three chimes - the Westminster, St. Michael's and Whittington. An automatic night silence option comes with this movement as well. A free engraved brass plate and a two-year warranty are included with this clock. 91H x 30 1/2W x 18D.
